In October 2002 with the old camera, and again in 2011 with new boots, and for a third time in 2012 with added sisters.  (Pictures from the Southern approach here)

A lovely crisp day for a walk, very cold but beautiful in 2002, and the hottest day of the year so far in 2011.  2012 was okay.

Girls wondering where the hill is

Oh, that one?

Mist over Loch Earn

Mist clears, and I realise this is a daunting prospect.

From a good way up, looking back down.

And looking up, not far now.

Making good progress

At the summit, in really good time too.  Book says two and a half hours to the top, and we did it in two hours twenty nine minutes - most impressive

Looking to Stuc a'Chroin - maybe next time?

From the top of Ben Vorlich looking South.

You can see Grangemouth from here!

And from the Southern spur looking back to the top, with Stuc a'Chroin on the left.

Stuc a'Chroin - in 2002

And the stunning view North - Stob Binnein, Ben More just left of Mark with the Tarmachan Ridge and the Ben Lawers ridge on the right.

We could see Ben Nevis from here, as well as loads of others.

The same picture of the Ben Lawers and Tarmachan hills, just smashing.

And the start of the scramble up Stuc a'Chroin

Loads of hills, from the shoulder of Stuc a'Chroin, half way up the buttress

Continuing the scramble upwards.  Long way down!

Wait for me.

Looking back down the rather scary ascent.  Remind me not to do this again?

Looking back over Stuc a'Chroin to Ben Vorlich.

Stuc a'Chroin, conquered again.

On the way back down the first time.

And a final view of Ben Vorlich, before the pub.
